As winter ends and snow starts to disappear for the time being in Northwest Indiana, it is important to make sure your home is still in a good condition to run properly. It is possible that something happened to create later issues for you heating and air conditioning units. Check out this list of things to check after the snow is cleared and we get ready for Spring.

Inspect the roof and be prepared to replace any missing or damaged shingles.

Clean out gutters and replace any broken parts.

Clean out exterior drains to ensure consistent flow.

Patch up any cracks created in the driveway and other concrete to keep them from growing.

Check to make sure that the windows and doors are still sealed tight.

Inspect the siding of your home to make sure that no siding has gone missing or was damaged. Consider adding a layer of paint.

Inspect laundry hosing, attic spaces and crawl spaces for any leaks that may mess with your home’s water and HVAC system.

Lastly, hire a professional to come out and check your HVAC unit and make sure that you do not wait to long or else more damage may occur.
